Click here to open music file Reflections - John Byrt
for two consorts of four recorders (descant, treble, tenor and bass).
These were written for an adult recorder group in Devon. The spare texture of the first movement gets away from the 'clogging' sound of much recorder music and is rewarding to play. The concluding 'cascades' (click on the jacket image to listen) is not easy but makes good use of the double choir layout. This movement goes down well with audiences.
Full score 12pp A4 and set of parts £8.00
